The Port Alberni Friendship Center Employment Counselling Program assists people with training, education and employment concerns, who don't know where to begin and need some direction.

We can help you discover your career goals, and assist you in planning towards those goals.

At the same time, we can assist you in acquiring the skills and focus required to compete effectively in today's job market.

Individual counselling is provided and when necessary referrals are made to appropriate agencies to see that your training and/or employment needs are met.

Client's Services

 Individual employment and education counselling.

 Help in developing an effective resume and covering letters.

 Providing information regarding employment, training, funding, and general EI inquries.

 Teaching effective job search techniques.

 Photocopy and/or fax services available.

 Job and training board available with current information.

 Access to daily newspaper and a telephone to conduct local job search.
